The Best Flagship Smartphones Of 2020

The Best Phones That Money Can Buy

1. Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is Samsung’s best smartphone to-date. This is the absolute flagship that is made of sugar, spice and everything nice and I don’t mean the Power Puff Girls here. Starting with the design, built of glass i.e. both front and back, and sandwiched by a stainless steel frame.

GG Victus first debuted on the Note 20 Ultra which makes for better scratch and shatter resistant than the GG6. My favorite design feature of the Note 20 Ultra is the elegantly looking camera bump, simplistic yet sophisticated.

Camera Bump

I have to say the device looks amazing especially in it’s Mystic Bronze color. It is not just the design that makes this beast the best smartphone of 2020 but it’s internals are just as aggressive.

Featuring a powerful Snapdragon 865 Plus coupled with either 12GB or 16GB or memory and 5G capable.

The device has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance as well as a 120Hz adaptive Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 1440x3088px, which comes in an odd 19.3:9 aspect ratio.

It is worth mentioning that the Note 20 Ultra’s Camera prowess is amongst the best in the business. Read More On Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra…

2. iPhone 12 Pro Max (Successor to the iPhone 11 Pro Max)

6s, x, & 12 Pro Max

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is no smartphone to scoff at and it remains superior as having the most powerful processor on the market. As the successor to the iPhone 11 Pro Max, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the biggest, most powerful, and most feature-rich iPhone Apple has ever made thus far.

Apple’s best iPhone yet has the most premium and durable design Apple has ever made, the most powerful chip with 5G support, a new and improved triple-camera on the rear, the LiDAR scanner, the largest battery of the iPhone 12 series, and the largest stereo speakers.

I am completely in love with Apple’s choice of design and built, it is simply just magnificent.

This is as Premium as they come. Apple has introduced a Ceramic Shield on the front glass, making it four times more resistant to shattering GSMArena.

However, it is found that as much as the nanoscale ceramic crystals increase the glass’ resistance to shattering/breaking they do not increase the resistance to scratching as you will see in the video by JerryRigsEverything.

The glossy steel frame looks beautiful, to complete the sandwich is the pleasant flat frosted rear glass. The absolute stain to the entire gorgeous design of this gem is the unsightly uni-brow notch.

It is something one would not easily get used to. Flagship design with flagship interiors, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is powered by the Apple A14 Bionic chip which comes with Qualcomm’s X55 5G modem and has a 4-core GPU backed by 6GB of memory.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max triple-camera take top of the lines photos thanks to it’s A14 Bionic chip. Read More On iPhone 12 Pro Max…

3. OnePlus 8 Pro

Earlier in 2020, the OnePlus 8 Pro was my favorite phone in every aspect even after the release of the S20 Ultra and the Huawei P40 Pro Plus.

The new OnePlus device was introduced in a rather similar design to that of the OnePlus 7 Pro. The OnePlus 8 Pro design is nothing short of premium, the front glass is slightly curvy on the edges but not aggressively curved.

The selfie camera is at the top right corner of the display (which I find much more convenient than the centered hole punch). Rocking a Fluid AMOLED 120Hz display with a resolution of 3168×1440 pixels. It has one of the best displays in the business.

Powered by the Snapdragon 865 with a base storage of 128GB topping out at 256GB with memory options of either 8GB or 12GB both are LPDDR5X RAM. The OnePlus 8 Pro is a fully fledged flagship and the extra buck.

Not to forget to mention an extra detail, the device has an IP68 for dust and water resistant. Read More on OnePlus 8 Pro…

4. Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G has an all glass sandwich design. There is GG5 both on the rear and the front. Featuring a beautiful 6.67 inch 90Hz OLED display that is curved on the longer edges with ever so thin bezels, similar to the OnePlus 8 Pros’ design.

Powered by the Snapdragon 865 which features Qualcomm’s X55 modem that adds full-fledged 5G connectivity, on top of that the Mi 10 Pro 5G is available with 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB/512GB UFS 3.0 storage, and a 4500mAh battery.

Equipped with a 65W power brick for super fast charging. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro has one of the best camera system offered by Xiaomi, and it consists of- a 108MP primary, a 20MP ultrawide, a 12MP telephoto (2x), and an 8MP shooter for long-range 5x zoom.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G has very little compromises and these include no IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and QHD resolution but other than that it is a complete flagship that will blaze through anything that you can throw at it. Read on Xiaomi Mi 10 5G…
